New Dawn

New Dawn is a government-licensed, first-stage stabilization program for women in early recovery. Women require 72 hours of abstinence for entry into New Dawn. Once there, women are supported through their post acute withdrawal while transitioning into a stable routine that includes:

  • Daily process and education groups
  • Weekly sessions with an Alcohol and Drug Counsellor
  • Chores and meal preparation
  • Weekly yoga and creative process groups
  • Regular attendance at community Step-Meetings
  • Initial Step-Work on Women’s Way Through the 12 Steps 
  • Any other activities related to the self-identified goals within her personal recovery plan

New Day & New Way

New Day & New Way: are further addiction-free, residential support recovery programs for graduates of New Dawn and /or other licensed 1st-stage programs and/or treatment centers. For entry into New Day or New Way, women require 90 days of abstinence, and must demonstrate an emotional readiness for 2nd-stage recovery.

Programming at New Day & New Way is designed for women who are preparing to transition to independent, sustainable housing. Residents receive ongoing individual support from our Recovery Skills Facilitator while participating in:

  • Weekly process groups
  • Personal development/wellness programs
  • Pre-employment preparation programming or part-time employment
  • Weekly sessions with an Alcohol and Drug counsellor
  • Chores and meal preparation
  • Regular attendance at community self-help groups/meetings
  • Ongoing Step-Work on Women’s Way Through the 12 Steps, the Women's 16 Steps for Discovery & Empowerment, or any other recovery-based Step-Module(s) women choose
  • Any other activities related to the self-identified goals within her personal recovery plan
